iPhone X released early with leaked video

Everyone is waiting to pre-order the iPhone X on October 27 ready for shipping on November 3, but it looks like the device has already found its way to the public domain with multiple iPhone X leaked videos showing the new model in the hands of users already. We have no idea how this has happened, but the people responsible clearly hasn’t taken the care to ensure that their identity remains anonymous. Take a look at the video below which was posted to Reddit recently, showing not only the new iPhone X fully operational but what appears to be with a new dynamic moving iPhone X wallpaper as well.

Another iPhone X in the wild from apple[1][2]

On top of this, the more incriminating pictures show a second iPhone X in the wild along with the text, ‘Confidential and proprietary’ attached to the screen along with a number to call.

This could mean that this is a test unit which is connected to an Apple employee, but clearly that person hasn’t disguised it well given the personal wallpaper used.

What are your thoughts on the fact that there are now iPhone X models being used two weeks before the global release date?

Vodafone's Newest Mobile Partner Is Qantas

Qantas is the latest name in a high-profile string of brands that Vodafone is using to further increase the appeal of its post-paid mobile plans. If you sign up to a new Qantas Red plan on a 24-month contract, you ll score yourself a bunch of Qantas points and have access to Vodafone s excellent $5 daily flat-rate international roaming.

The new plans start at $45 per month for a SIM only deal with 6GB of data on Vodafone s 4G sand 3G networks, and all will net you a cache of Qantas points doubled for signing up to the plan online. That basic $45 plan is worth 4000 Qantas points, which you ll get at the start of your contract although you won t be able to break your 24-month plan without cancellation fees, so there s no way to pick up those points for free and then switch to another carrier. It seems a no-brainer to sign up online and double your Qantas points haul. Stepping up to a $60 plan with 10GB of data nets you 5000 points, and $85 with 15GB data is worth 7500 points.

Beyond that Vodafone is also offering the Qantas Red plans with bundled mobile phones, which have their own repayments. $80 per month, for example, will get you 6GB of data and those 4000 points plus a new iPhone or Android phone. The Qantas partnership is a good opportunity for Vodafone to talk up its international roaming deal, which is the best of Australia s big four carriers. For a flat $5 rate per day, Vodafone customers can use their existing Aussie mobile data allotments, calls and texts in almost 50 countries across Asia, Europe and the US.

Apple is investigating iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus battery …

For months now, some iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus users have been complaining about their devices displaying an incorrect battery-life percentage. An Apple Support Communities post titled iPhone 6s Plus battery percentage getting stuck1 from September 2015 has received over 100 replies, as iPhone users try to figure out how to resolve the issue. In a rare turn of events, Apple has acknowledged the bug. The company stated that it is aware of this issue and is investigating the cause and a solution, as part of a support document titled If your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus battery percentage doesn t update2. Furthermore, Apple has offered a temporary fix: Restart your iPhone, navigate to Settings => General => Date & Time, and make sure that Set Automatically is turned on.

It would appear that Apple believes this bug is caused when you manually change the time on your new iPhone or change time zones when traveling. This has understandably caused confusion, as the battery percentage indicator should have nothing to do with the current time. In the original thread discussing the bug, user jonboom explained what he was dealing with:

My iPhone 6s Plus battery percentage gets stuck frequently. Like for example, it will say 87% all day, and then I ll plug it in for an hour, and it will still say 87%.

The only fix I ve found is to power the phone off and then turn it back on. Then the percentage will update correctly, and will usually continue to update properly for awhile. But eventually it gets stuck again. In the 3 days since it was delivered on Friday, I ve had to reboot my iPhone 6s Plus at least four times to fix this issue.

Apple is aware it may be wrong about the cause of the issue. If this happens again and you didn t change the time or time zone on your device, contact Apple Support3, the support document states. Given the finding, it s likely Apple will squash this bug in a coming iOS software update.

Depending on the difficulty of the fix, and on timing, we expect the problem will be addressed in iOS 9.2.1 or iOS 9.3.
