A total of 68 properties across Kent are set to go under the hammer next week.

A self-contained flat with that sits in the popular Broadmead area of Tunbridge Wells that could sell for as little as £175,000 is just one of the homes up for grabs.

The apartment with two bedrooms and a balcony, close to the Tunbridge Wells West station, is one of the properties that will go under the hammer at the next Clive Emson auction on July 20.

The first floor flat, which is in need of refurbishment and modernisation, has a guide price of £175,000 – £180,000.

The total, including commercial units and a woodland, will be sold at the Clive Emson Conference Centre in Maidstone at 11am.[3]

Managing director James Emson sought to debunk the reputation of auctions as a place to buy or sell problematic property, saying reality couldn’t be further from the truth.

He said: “While properties are often sold subject to either legal or structural uncertainties many lots sold have clean titles and are structurally sound.”

He added one of the many benefits of buying or selling by auction, was speed.

He said: “It can take as little as four weeks from instructions to exchange of contracts. Also, it is generally recognised that if property or land is sold “under the hammer” on auction day it has achieved the best possible price.”
