Abandoned Glastonbury tents to go on sale for bargain prices at Hayle Rugby Club this month – Cornwall Live

Camping season is upon us and it can be a pretty pricey hobby – but at the end of the month Cornish campers will be able to bag themselves a bargain, all for a worthy cause.

Each year Cornwall Fire and Rescue service travel to Glastonbury after the festival closes to help with the mass clean-up mission. While there they salvage any abandoned and sale-able tents, bring them home to the best side of the Tamar and sell them on for charity.

This year’s reclaimed festival tent and camping equipment sale will be held at Hayle Rugby club on Saturday July 29 from 10am until 1pm.
